So I was at a knife show this weekend and met William Joiner the owner of Antique River Logs. Super nice guy and spent plenty of time answering my questions and just shooting the breeze about knives. He has collaborated with Case and Buck but my thought was that his wooden handles would be a great match for GEC. Both companies creating unique and masterful crafted products. Check out some of their work on their web page and let me know what you think?

I think the handle material is a great match for Case, an old venerable knife company. GEC not so much :) Haven't seen any by Buck.

Sure, GEC’s would look great with Antique River Logs Wood.

They have done something similar in the past by using reclaimed oil sucker rod wood from the early days of the oil industry in Pennsylvania. They have also used reclaimed chestnut wood from old barns and teak wood from U.S, battleships.

My thoughts exactly! You really have to see the wood in person to see the exceptional quality and the history of this wood. The end grain almost looks like a black micarta but only better.
