Even though the blade does not have a separate ganga, I am hoping it is much earlier. The shape of the luks and the shape and quality of the filiing of the 'elephant head' could indicate a late 19th century piece. Of course the hilt and scababrd are replacements.

One day I will have to get a Kris and see about this spirit of the blade . Hmmmmmm I wonder if the previous occupant would object ? Would a two edged sword go schizo ?
