I call this my Antiqued Redwood Fighter. Finished this morning at 1:30am.

This last photo shows a bit more of the wood's personality... but I think the color is skewed a bit warm.

Oh man, I love that, Erin.
The slightly straightened lines with that flaming handle... mmmm.
 
Superb work, really like the style and the overall feel. How do the mild steel fittings hold up I mean do ya coat them with anything to help with rusting and what not. Looks great.

Quint... I apologize for missing this question. I find that the antiquing process I use can help {somewhat} to fend off rust... but just like any non-stainless steel (the W2 blade for example), it needs to be cared for. Once I finish a knife, I tend to keep it waxed (if stored) or oiled (if a regular user). I am still EDCing my first balisong... and Lord knows I need to keep an eye on it to keep rust spots away from the 1080 blade.
