I am new to knife making and I am close to finishing my first one. I decided I am going to use a deer antler to make the handle. I just love the way they look! My question has to do with sealing it. I would like to keep the natural look of the antler but I wish to seal it and protect it. Any suggestions on what to use? Thank you ahead of time for any responses.

To answer your question, I don't know but I'm sure someone will be along shortly that does.

I do know that if you saw or grind antlers or any bone breathing bone dust, like man made
materials, can be very dangerous. Be sure and use a breathing filter just as if you were sanding or grinding Micarta.
