Hey everybody. I just picked this anvil up last night. It was my grandfathers and his fathers before him. This anvil was used in my great grandpas blacksmith shop in the early 1900's. I know this thing is old and I think it is from the late 1800's. I can't quite make out the markings and I thought maybe somebody here could. Any information on this anvil would be helpful. Thanks.

Hay Budden , Brooklyn, NY 15? pounder (150 or 155). Perhaps 1884.

I'm not sure, but I think those long tail anvils with rivet headers are called wheelwrights anvils.

There is probably a serial number on the front left foot of the anvil. Might be hard to read under the red paint, mine was painted red also.

An anvil that old and still in such immaculate condition is a true gem. Love her and care for her.
