I'm new to Bladeforums as the site was stumbled across as I was searching for a big blade for camping/outdoor use. The research put into something like this became almost obsessive as there are so many choices and so many opinions. However, it came down to 2 companies as I was steered in their directions by a few different people that seemed to make sense. After viewing CS dvd's and then seeing Ethan Becker on youtube describe his craftsmanship, it became clear that BKT and the BK9 were the way to go. Ethan seems genuine and not all about hyping up products by stabbing, slicing, and dicing dead hanging animals. The gents on this site also seem to have a great deal of respect, craftsmanship, and creativity in altering and personalizing his great thoughts. So, Amazon needs to get my BK9 here for me so I can enjoy the way everyone else does! As I go I will post pics like everyone else so thanks for the help!

Welcome man, I'm sure you'll find yourself enjoying the BK9 quite a bit. It is my most used becker by a long shot.

Stick around, we have quite a bit of fun around here :).

Welcome to tha party.

You made a good choice with the BK9. The King, reigns suppreme.

Thanks for the replies. Quick question if I may: Since I ordered the BK9 and I am wasting away Amazon gift cards from Christmas I am wishing to add another BK the the quiver. I have a CS Recon 1 and a Kershaw Zing for EDC and small tasks but am wondering what Becker you might add in addition to the 9 for a second? Granted, there could be a dozen questions that go into deciding what would be best, but if you had 2 Beckers in your quiver, which 2 would they be?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Great choice in the BK9. It's just a hell of a blade:

For me it would be the nine & the 16. I actually carry my 14 every day in my front pocket and it has replaced my folders about 90-95% of the time but if I could only have two, 16 & 9 for sure. Just my 2¢ worth.

Congratulations and a solid choice. I was trying to decide between a BK7 and BK9 before but ended up with the 7 for myself.

Creative picture you've got there. :)

Welcome! I'd suggest planning in some time after you get your 9 that you can obsess over it for a few days you aren't going to want to put it down for at very least 48 hours :D

Thanks! I think the 16 will be a very useful tool to add before some of the others. The 16 seems great for fine work or EDC. A necker would have to come soon after!

My BK2 came in today. Sometime tomorrow I plan to cut a bulldozer blade in half with it. Just because after handling it, I think it can do it.

Mr. Becker (Uncle E) is a great person to be around from what I've heard. I haven't had the privelege of meeting him in person yet but he certainly seems to be a fantastic person when he replies on here.
Welcome to the forum, you'll be glad you joined when we *ahem*
TAKE OVER ZE WORRRLLLDD! :D
I would go for a 14 and a set of ESEE Izula scales (forewarning- the scales require a bit of fitting). That combo has kicked almost every tactical folder and my BK11 out of my pocket about 95% of the time. If you really wanna go fancy go ahead and pick up a handmade sheath from one of our resident Kydex benders and moopant makers. Skystorm, Sagewood Gear (forget exactly which member Sagewood is) and Godspeed Tactical come to mind off the top of my head.

Thanks for the info! I am definitely looking into growing the quiver.
