I've been looking at a cheaper auto than my Protechs, and settled on the Boker AK74, but that pocket clip.... :barf:

Anyone make a good replacement?

What is wrong with the pocket clip?

I find it to be well designed and it has a little style to boot. It was part of the reason that I bought the AK74 over something else. I would still have the knife if the scales were made out of a different material.

The wavy clip I'm just not sure of. It may be the way it hits my eyes, but it stands out for sure. What didn't you like about the handle material? Just wondering how the aluminum feels on this one?

I had high hopes for the AK74. Loved the knife. Great deep carry clip, DP blade, decent steel, good ergos, beautiful styling and the knife was priced right. What is there not to like?

The aluminum scales. I found that the metal scales were a problem for me if my hands were wet or sweaty. Also did not like how warm the knife became on hot days.
This was the knife that pretty much turned me away from knives with metal scales. With a few minor exceptions of course.:D

If Boker ever offers that knife with a different scale material like FRN or G10, I will be more than happy to reconsider the AK.
