Sorry no pics. I was wondering if anybody ever used the 4 D rings on the side of the bag to make it a small back pack. I love my remora and im about to get a second one as a small hiking pack and im thinking about doing this. just wanted to know if anybody else has and if anybody had any tips to make this great bag even better :D

That's a pretty good idea. The solo strap as it is now always seems to ride up to the side of my neck and chafes it a bit. I ended up relegating my Remora to the back of my Jeep as sort of an emergency/get home bag. Keep a first aid kit in there as well as a knife (Mora Light My Fire), some glowsticks, paracord, gloves, energy bars, cash, a spare magazine for my CZ 75, headlamp, and some other stuff that I'm sure I'm forgetting. I also attached a USGI canteen with cup and stove and some firestarter stuff and stormproof matches in the side pouches. Here's a pic with the Light My Fire knife....

If you're going to get a second bag to use as a backpack, Maxpedition makes a Typhoon Backpack which is pretty small. I've been using it as a hiking bag and it works pretty well, and is way more comfortable than a single strap bag for any distance.
Here it is with a 10x4 bottle holder and pocket organizer attached:

I've considered the typhoon. but my remora is my edc pack and my primary method of transportation is walking so I'm considering doing this to my day pack as well.
