Being a recent member, I have seen a lot of talk about pass knives and getting them ordered again. Does anybody have pictures of the Fox Folly and other knives we might be interested in special ordering. Or just your collection.
Thank You.

Spiral... When you can state the FF's length and weight without putting an exclamation point after your statement, I'll know you have the arm strength of a gorilla. :D The shape of the FF is gorgeous; if it can be made with an 7-8 mm spine, and weigh in at 28 ounces or less, it will be a spectacular khuk!

Oh come on Drdan! The one I have is 21" and right at 3.5 lbs. It is a fighter... you just have to find the right thing to fight.You know something like a turtle or a redwood. It is very nice despite the weight.

Well Dan 20 years ago I did a year in an iron foundry, I used to use a 4lb 20 inch sledge for one hand work all day long.

But I do know what you mean as I am just a 150lb sort of guy with Gurkha size bones not some genetic monster througback! ;) :D {well not physicaly anyway!}

The original Foxy was going to be around 24 oz for a champion fighter , not 48 oz but something went wrong in Nepal! If next time round it turns up with no habaki bolster,& no cho 2inches up the blade! properly tempered & a 22 to 28 oz. weight it should be a diamond!

My one is a lovely kuk for stationary targets though! best one out for firewood splitting probably.

Its sort of a modern extra thick, slighty coarser copy of a cross between these 2 oldies....

Thanks for the input, Gorilla Spiraltwista! I want the new model of the FF; the lines are gorgeous, and if it's light, will be an exceptional khukuri! :D

Do you have a closeup of the handle, Spiral; it looks great in the supplied photo... :cool: What kind of wood is it?

Its A black water buffalo horn handle,Dan{see first post, ;) }

Im off to bed now, but can post photo tommorow of handle.

Its like an extra fat langapate handle, quite short though, which I like.

Thanks Guys!

I think there a sexy pair too! :D

The Ivory handled one is the best made Dia Chirra blade, I have come across.
The handle & blade seem to be quite early in design & workmanship to me but the tang has been threaded & it is fitted with a nut on the silver pommel, which implies more late Victorean I would have thought.

Reputedly carried by a Gurkha officer.
