Just wondering why you never see any boker fans. I know they make the orion thats kinda cool looking.

Boker used to make some really nice knives. But from what I can see their QC has went downhill. It seems like other German Cutlery companies have also slid. Take Puma for instance. They have really slipped alot.

I bought a Boker "Walker" design and sent it right back. Cost me postage both ways, but better than keeping that fragile, misground, flimsy POS.

It......LOOKED....great in Blade Mag's "What the Makers Carry" article, but it was lousy.

ATS34 but ground so each side was so mismatched that it looked funny if you flipped it over.

I won't even "chance" another one. I have a Boker "Tree Brand" Barlow that I have had for 30-40 years and it is just fine. I don't carry it because new lockbacks are so much better.

I was very disappointed in the one I got.

the quality is down and the price is up on them imho. never consider them anymore, too much better stuff for the $$ around imho.........

I had the orion and the skywalker...they both felt like they had sand in the pivot and it blade grind looked like a 5th grader did it in shop. When i took the orion apart to clean it, the plastic washers were all embeded with a ton of metal shavings, hence the sand feel when i open and closed it. I since sold them both and a william henry and bought my baby..a sebenza now im in love with it and couldnt be happier...

Böker used to make decent knives, and perhaps a few of their slipjoint models still are, but quality control on their modern-type folders has gone down the toilet in my opinion. I've owned several folders: Gemini, HK-Tactical, Superliner, Brend, Walker; all of them with sloppy locks and/or poor fit & finish. I won't even give them a second look. It's been said before: Böker has no business making linerlocks.

in carbon steel with some kind of opaque red scales. It's got pretty good walk and talk. It still sees some carry time. As of late I've been carrying a lefty BM 800 and a Wegner Highlander but the Boker makes a great apple knife :D

I think the fit-and-finish and quality of workmanship is'nt what it used to be in their folders.

But they do make some very nice ceramic kitchen knives.

Allen.
