I am getting into a bowling league this year and I need some recommendations on a new ball. I have not bowled league in 4 or 5 years but before that I bowled junior league for 10 years and 4 years of mens league while I was in college. A couple of months ago I went out and took my old Rhyno and when I threw it down the lane it hooked about a millimeter so I figure it is time for a new ball. I don't throw a big hook and I am looking for a good all around ball, if there is such a thing. Let me know what you guys think.

Hey Boobar, drop me a line...

My brother lives in Mainesburg, PA and bowls a couple times a night. Couple years ago he HAD to call me after he got done... 279, 299, & 300! 5th highest series in the whole state. Carries a 220+ average...

I can give you his email addess and you guys can talk if you want. I'm sure he can give you far more info that you'll ever need!

only 285 for my high score :(

Good luck on your bowling!

I'm still looking for this equalizer.....

I think that I am going to go with a Storm Fear Factor. I found one at the local bowling alley for a pretty good price. I have been reading some reviews and it looks like a pretty good ball. I am heading down tonight to pick it up and have it drill, hopefully I can get a couple of games in with it as well. I will let you know how it turns out.

I am a goofball, I have one of those clear ones with the skull in it. :)
At least I can be amused when I hit the gutter :D

Man, I used to be a bowling Mofo! We were raised in bowling alleys. My parents always were in leagues and had us bowling when we were barely old enough to talk. I still have a trophy from when I was 11 years old. I was good enough at age 11, I believe I was averaging close to 200, that they put me on a team of High School Seniors and we won the Illinois State Championship! Then, I got burned out a few years later. Got tired of playing the "calculate the oil on the lanes" game, and quit for many years. Took it back up later, and did ok, but never regained the fire that I had as a child. So, I took another 10 years off from bowling. Last month, I got the urge to bowl again, and went to the local bowling alley. I just about fell over, since I had brand new bowling shoes. Threw a gutter ball the first time, and bowled a whole 109 the first game! Second game was better; I bowled a 189, but then I had to quit. I was WORN OUT! Sweat was running down my face, and my hand was hurting, since I use a 16 lb finger tip ball. My forearm was sore as hell for about a week.

Getting old really sucks, ya know? :D
