im getting my first buck 110 (custom: nickel bolsters, s30v blade, heritage walnut with rivets) and was just wondering if anyone has experienced any kind of problems with a buck 110. i haven't heard anything bad about it but was just wondering if there is anything that i should take into consideration with this knife. thanks!

ps: i know its a heavy, bulky knife

The Buck 110 is the original mans folder in my opinion. You will be hard pressed to find anything wrong with a buck 110, and if you do, from what I have seen here in the forums, they have fantastic customer service.

I've had two serious problems with 110s.

1. Due to a lot of reasons, I can only carry one or two at a time.

2. I don't have enough money to get as many really FANCY customs as I'd like to have.

3. Oh.....that's it.

The only problem I have with the 110 is that everytime I turn around I've bought another one and according to my wife, that's a problem!

You've already asked that question. See the responses in your previous thread.

I was about to respond with the same!

My I ask why you expect or assume to find a issue or problem with a 110? I'd assume the customs (I'm waiting on my own to arrive) are given extra attetion before leaving the factory...

Very few people do have issues , and when they do, from what I've seen Buck makes it right. You can even send them a beat to hell 110 and for a small fee they will make her look like new. What is it that you are looking for? If it's reassurance I think it should be saved for a lesser company/knife than buck/110.

It must be very exciting for a young man like yourself to be getting your first Buck and I'm very happy for you. Keep the excitment going, I do everyday as I fondle mine!

I have literally hundreds of Buck knives in all shapes and sizes and love them all, but the 110 is the lead dog of the pack. I've only had one that had an issue when new and Buck will go to great lengths to make any issue right.

Most of the problems I've heard or read about stem from misuse or abuse, not a design or manufacturing problem. Take care of your new baby, don't do things with it that it's not designed to do and it won't let you down.

Keep on posting young man. we love enthusiam about Bucks.

Hi Knivesngear,

I have had a lot of problems with Buck 110's and continue to have problems with Buck 110's. 1st issue, my wife said she will kill me if I buy anymore of them as they all look the same to her. 2nd issue, I want all of the SO/LE 110 knive's I see and that is a real problem because I don't only collect 110's ;). Post some photo's of your 110.

jb, it sounds like you are in mortal danger from your spouse. To prevent a catastrophic incident, I strongly recommend that you ship me all your 110's as soon as possible!
*The things I do for a Buck Brother! :D
