Hello!

I'm new here, but not new to knives. I have been browsing here for about two years now and gained a world full of knowledge. I own RATs, Benchmades, Spydercos, and even a shelf queen Busse ASH, and whole bunch of Case knives. I love my Case knives but I don't ever see much talk about them. I carry a stag Butterbean that I love! If you own Case, which one and do you carry them?

Thanks!!

I carry a 6.5 bonestag large Stockman. Fell in love with the style of handle a while back, and finally got one.

As Arfin. said, jump to the traditionals forum. You'll find a ton of stuff there.

thx - cpr

Growing up in Case's dark age (IMHO their stuff from the '70s and '80s sucked), I was a long-time skeptic. Now though, Case is about all I carry. Their stuff from the past five years or so is wonderful. I tote a peanut with harvest orange bone handles most of the time. I also have a cv Sodbuster Jr. and a cv trapper, both with yellow handles.

I have about a dozen case knives, mostly recent purchases ( one 70's vintage lockback).

My favorite handle material is the 6.5 bonestag and my favorite pattern is a tossup between the wharncliffe trapper and the seahorse whittler.

I collect and carry the Russlock and Copperlocks.I have several old 70's 47 patterns and various others put away.

I just ordered one of those. I'd been jonesing for a pocket knife and that model was suggested to me. It's in CV, which is what I wanted, and it's big enough to handle most jobs.

I also have one of these, a nice little Canoe, also in CV, which I carry when dressed up.

I have a Case Amber Bone Trapper with SS blades. A little big for EDC but I have it put in my knife collection for my kids when they get older. If you wanna get a knife for EDC, I recommend probably a smaller knife, like a peanut, butterbean, tiny trapper, or medium stockman, etc...in CV blades, because this type of metal holds an edge alot longer than the SS too me. True its more prone to rust and corrosion, but nothing a little maintainence every now and than cant fix. Mind you, I am 27, and most people my age like the fact of taking a knife out of pocket and throwing in a drawer without maintaining. Me on the otherhand, will know a CV knife will last forever and stay sharp with maintainence.

Hey 91bravo - You a medic? I can't remember those MOS designations like I used to. Gettin' old . . .

Andrew - I forgot to mention that the my 6.5 bonestag Stockman is in CV - that's why it took me awhile to find one. (Who'd you order yours from? Mine's from Shepherd Hills.) I've used that thing so hard it's lookin' forward to weekends like I do, just so it can have a break. Haven't had to sharpen it yet, but I have touched up the sheepfoot blade on our kitchen steel once, a month ago.

I'm getting a Case Russlock soon, then a Case Canoe is next, so long as I can find one in CV. Yours has the same red scales as my little Stockman, from my dad.

jdailey - amber bone was my favorite, until I got a good look at 6.5 bonestag. I have a little Trapper that's my "Sunday go to meetin' knife", as we used to say growing up. I was going to get a MOP handles small Sunday carry knife, then I realized I liked the amber bone, so I just went with that.

Hope we can get some more pictures in this thread - :D

I carry a MOP center-swell jack every day. It mostly sees use peeling carrots for lunch but it does a fine job. :)

Well, if you've perused the traditional forums at all you've probably seen these pictures before, but since Orca is hoping for some eye candy I figured I could maybe get the ball rolling. Now the only question is, which pattern and handle material next? Maybe a medium stockman in amberbone and cv
