Any chance for 5.5 variations?

I'm wondering if anyone has heard about plans for other blade shapes. I'm specifically inquiring about the pitbull. Although the spear point is nice too. Here in MD the limit is 6" so I'm excited to purchase one of these for carry. :D

I was gonna start a new thread with the same topic, but spotted this one. I would love to see spearpoint variant from Camillus.
Anyone else interested? Come on guys :)

This has been brought up before and the basic answer is don't get your hopes up. Will Fennell has said that Camillus has other projects that are in line first. Also, he has said that a dagger blade shape would be significantly more costly to produce. I'm just guessing a spearpoint might be possible, but the knife would be the same size so they wouldn't have to tool up for a smaller handle.

USAFSP- When you said pitbull, did you mean the bullnose version? If so, this is a blade shape that is only available as a custom ordered through True North Knives. Neil Ostroff has an exclusive deal on that one.

The bottom line is, it all depends on how many Cuda Maxxes they can sell, and how many people keep yelling for a different version. If the current Maxx doesn't sell enough, we'll never see another version.
So buy two, and keep yelling, I want every version too! Maybe we'll get a spearpoint this time next year.

Guys,
We are still WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY backordered on the original CUDA MAXX, so it would be quite premature to start talking about new variations at this point! Cna you see our sales guys trying to tell a delaer he should buy the NEW model CUDA MAXX before we have shipped there first model:rolleyes:

We are ramping up production of the CUDA MAXX, and after we get caught up, we will then take a look at the demand for additional models.

Thanks for the interest!

yah i think a mini maxx would be a much better "revised" model then the current 5.5" with a different blade. i think many people want the maxx but are held back because it is too big to carry for both legal reasons and practical reasons. i'd buy a smaller 3.5 version but the 5.5 is too big for me

Do you have to do that while I'm sitting here playing with my now old, outmoded, obsolete Madd Maxx dagger? That is a beautiful handle!

I'm glad I got two of the CUDA Maxxes, too, but I vote for a 3 1/2" spearpoint anytime Camillus can get its act together! :D I think that would be a kind of ultimate user, and a size a lot more guys could legally carry. Although the CUDA bowie is the best kitchen knife I've got.
