I am a huge SAK fan, and one of my favorites is the Rambler, I have had one on my keys for years. I the last year or so i have carried an Alox Rambler from Swiss Bianco, and it's just fantastic, I love the grips and the feel of Alox, and it's super trim, plus, I never use the Tweezers or Toothpick so I don't miss them. The only downside is the cost, I was curious if there is any news about a regular production Alox Rambler?

If Victorinox would produce more alox SAKs in that range it would be great. I only have an alox Classic now.

True, but that's just retail, they street in the US at around $15-20
Yes, I realize that. I was simply clarifying that your wish is not really for a "production alox Rambler", but rather "a cheap alox Rambler", or more specifically, "an alox Rambler sold by online dealers for a $1-$2 above dealer cost". The irony is that this online discuounting is exactly what lead to near-elimination of the alox range availability in North America. B&M stores stopped carrying most of the models because they could not compete with a 1-person online "dealer", and in 2011 SAB decided to cut the alox line to 3 91mm models (Pioneer, Electricial, Farmer), 1 84mm model (Cadet), and a couple of 58mm (Classic and versions of flash drive). You have to be careful what you wish for, as it may come with unintended consequences.

The Regular Production SAKS's are cheap/very affordable knives, I am not very well versed on the marketing practices of Victorinox, and why do sell or don't sell some knives, and the online dealers Vs. B&M stores is an ongoing debate and is something that is continuing to affect businesses and how they operate, it's not good or bad, but businesses are evolving, and many will have to adjust their business practices to be competitive in the modern world. I would just want that same great value (Not expensive) available to me with an Alox Rambler, I love the knife, but it's a bit pricey from +b, no so much that I wouldn't buy it, I likely would spend more if I had to, it's fantastic knife, and i love to what +b is doing with the Victorinox lineup, it's like my Swiss army dreams, I guess I look at the Alox rambler as just perfection, and it seems odd to me that Victorinox would not put it into their regular production.

we had that discussion before. point is that not we mess up but the "dealers" who sell them way below the mrsp. it has nothing to do with "modern world market" but with horsetrading and hurt the manufacturer.

if it would not be +B, nobody could buy sutch products.

but thats joust my opinion, end of message ;-)

Re-resurrecting this......would also love an Alox Rambler!!!

Anyone got one they'd sell?! I'm not looking for a collectable. Wanting it for everyday use.

I got tired of waiting and got an Alox Minichamp instead. Works for me, and I am warming up to the extra tools.

+1 for an Alox Rambler. I just feel that the Minichamp doesn't really have much more utility over the Rambler.
