Any chance of a smaller Manix?

I've come to the conclusion that the manix is just too big of a knife for my edc purposes. i love the knife, but i can't carry it in comfort. it's big, very wide and heavy.

so what about a smaller version of the Manix??? the millie has the para, so why not a "para-Manix"??? the lil temp is a little TOO lil, so something to bridge the gap and still have a MBC rated lock would fit the bill.

sal, any chance? :D

Something with a 3.25 or 3.5 inch blade would be a great compliment to my Calypso Jr.

Also legal for carry in Colorado, what do ya know!

I wonder what Sal or Eric carries here.

Also, with the Larger native requests, maybe they could throw together some sort of medium sized Nanix? or would it be a Mative?

There was a mini Manix at the proto preview in the Netherlands. Not much else has been said what the specs and dimensions and all that good stuff. Still exciting to think about how they have made a smaller Manix prototype.

I hadn't really thought about it, but what about a smaller version with;

3-3.25" blade of ZDP-189 steel
a Nested Compression Lock in the G10 scales to reduce weight(no heavy steel liners ;) )

hmmm.. i'm one of those guys who likes the manix for its size & heft. there are plenty of littler knives to choose from that "hit the spot", but very few large ones, especially at the manix' price. it even bugs me slightly that the manix blade is under 4", but oh well, still love the thing.

I've been enjoying the Native III lately. The thick FRN scales make it feel very solid and it has more agressively sculpted ergos that the regular Native - it has the same primeval blade shape as the Manix, like it was chipped from stone. I reckon there are pleny of good alternatives to a smaller manix - like the para millie or the millie itself.

Good News! :D

i wouldn't mind a nested compression lock or a ball bearing lock but it has to be MBC rated or else it would be a "down-grade" from the regular Manix.
