I have been looking for a cyclone for awhile and they seem pretty hard to come by. I really like this knife. Any chance of it coming back into production?

Thanks

Too bad, I wish those locks had worked out better. It's one of my all-time favorites.

I liked them but it seemed they were a bit off shaped for my hands.....SMKW sold them cheap when they were discountinued.....Those who liked them should have stocked up then!

:(
I love my cyclone

Me too. I've been downsizing my collection and I ended up selling off my spare Cyclone (the one I kept new in the box). My much misused Cyclone still sees its fair share of work though.

Came across a Mini recently, really nice size and quaility knife other than the reported switch problems.Wouldn't mind seeing a comeback without on/off switch.

I've had no problems with mine either, but had read a while back that they were failing for a lot of people. No idea what the problem was, really. I've disassembled mine a few times for cleaning and it seems to be a pretty simple mechanism.

It's extremely unlikely that these would come back. We are focused on moving forward with new designs and concepts. It's sad to see designs go by the wayside, but there is usually a reason that they do - more often than not it is due to lack of popularity.

I think Kershaw actually made a sprint run without the switch. Those would be the ones that I'd like to get a hold of.

Not too concerned really like the knife, reminds me somewhat of a little smaller version of my ZT 0350 and will probably purchase others.Kershaw fan here all around good company and products.
Prefer AO thats my personal preference and why switch was mentioned. Will also add from reading that there are a lot of fans of the switch and it was an innovative design of the time.

I believe you're correct. A little while after they had been discontinued I saw a favourite seller list a few that were without the on/off switch. I don't know if they were a "sprint run" per-se, or whether it was just a case of assembling the already manufactured cyclones and just leaving the switch bit out.

I've seen more without the switch than with. Mine has the switch and I think it is one of the neatest things other than double action automatics.

Mine has the switch and when I first got it I couldn't figure out at first what it was for. I never turn the AO to the off position and don't know why anybody would want to. I pull the knife out of my front pocket at least a half dozen times a day for various cutting chores and the AO is so convenient. It's carried tip up and has never opened accidentally in my pocket.
