We may do something similar in the future but I doubt it will be the same knife.

I loved the blade shape, hope that if you redo it, the shape stays similar. But overall it was a great package and perfect design!

that is awesome...don't let Diceman see that .......

Good Lord... That is a beauty. How in the hell are there TWO RATs that I had no idea existed until this past month...

My collection may NEVER be complete! :D

I really like the drill cup in the grips - very cool.

LOL.. bro I know.....how did we miss out on them.... but Jeff said he may do a blade similiar to this one again.....

I am confused. When I click on the picture it says "TOPS Laser". It looks like a TOPS knife also. Who made this knife, TOPS or ONTARIO?\
Ron Athay

I'm reading that it was a Tops and RAT collaboration - likely made by Tops here in Montana for Jeff and Mike. Not an official answer, just what I was able to scrounge up.

I may be off on my recollection but I think this was a TOPS and RAT collaboration before there was an Ontario and RAT colaboration:) One of the few TOPS that I liked. Shoulda bought one.

TOPS made it for us. It was even on the cover of Tactical Knives magazine.

That's correct. I've been trying to get my hands on that Laster Strike for years but no luck  The design looks very utilitarian so I say bring it back or maybe something very similar :D

I foolishly sold my original numbered Laser Strike. As luck would have it, I found another and this one is not getting away...

Problem with that knife was the heat treating. The spine had to be case hardened to bring the carbon up and be able to strike a spark with true flint for fire making hence the name 'Laser Strike'. But you don't want that same treat on the rest of the knife so it had to be differentially heat treated to be a functional knife and be used for flint and steel fire making. In short it was a pain in the ass to do on a production level. TOPS did a fantastic job producing it. I just don't know if we or they want to live in the Excedrin bottle again with that one.:) Mike
