In reality, it's a very slim chance. One of oour Japanese makers is pleasing us and using imported steels. They using Crucible and Bohler steels right now, and they have their time with it. Each foundry is different and details about mfg that you might not even consider are different from to another.
Maxamet is "a whole 'nuther animal". It's tough sh*t tp turn into a blade. Our Golden factory manager and out Taichung manager were joking about what a PITA it is to produce. (They are currently the only makers using it). Much more difficult than most of our users realize.
