Any chances of a Skyline with a Titanium frame lock?

Just wondered.

In the beginning I somewhat disliked the Skyline but now I love it. I've been carrying it daily for a few weeks again after getting it out to play with. This knife has only become smoother with age and it's a wonderful little knife.

Last time there was talk of an upgraded skyline, Thomas mentioned that there were no plans on the drawing table as of that day, IIRC. That could have changed by now though.
 
Honestly I'd love to see it with a steel framelock side and still one side G-10 only. Not too big a fan of titanium these days, generally alloys too soft and wear fairly fast (within 2-4 years of constant use). That said, don't have too many Ti framelocks I don't like - except maybe the Alias.
 
I highly doubt it... there are probably so many Kershaw knives on the drawing board that we haven't even heard of, and Thomas' attention is most likely on those. I could be wrong though :D
 
I dearly hope so. Or maybe a steel framelock with a g10 scale, and a composite blade. THAT would sell like mad. I'd buy multiples, for sure
 
I'd purchase one for sure I also think an uprgraded blade steel like Vanax or Elmax would be icing on the cake.

The Skyline is thin and light.
A frame lock might make for an interesting upgrade, but it wouldn't be a Skyline.

I'm new to the Skyline and the Sandvik steel. So let me ask: Is there anything about this blade that needs improvement?
 
I would be in for several of any 'improved' materials skylines. I'm a huge skyline fan. It's been my EDC since I bought one Oct 08.

I'd also love to see a deep carry pocket clip and a standard version with DLC. I know the tan one has DLC (1760BRNCKT), but I believe that's a limited run.

I'd love to get one of those ACU ones and that orange one that I saw on facebook.

And a composite blade would be wicked!!! I'd even go in for one with the new bearing pivot (even though I don't think a small blade would need it.) The TI liner lock would be great too.

Same here, love to get ahold of any new variant of the Skyline! I just got two 1760BRNCKT yesterday (there are a couple of sites that have them in stock currently); one to leave as-is, and one to combine with a standard 1760, effectively producing a Frankenstein 1760CKT and 1760BRN. I currently also have the 1760OR, 1760RDSO, and have the 1760DAM on pre-order (hope I wind up getting one!). Good luck on your quest!
