Once more I am shown how the 'powers that be' have the most downright twisted sense of humor. I'll not only be in Atlanta this weekend but right back where I was blocked from going last month at this time.....Cobb Galleria & The Waverly.

Two days prior to Blade last month I had my vacation revoked so I could finish one last client visit before June (we're not allowed to travel in June..keep that in mind for this next bit).

This past Monday I get assigned to work the GoGreen Expo being hosted at Cobb Galleria ON THE LAST TWO DAYS OF THE BLASTED QUARTER!

I know it must have given at least one deity a good laugh but gee for some reason I just can't seem to find the humor, lol

The convention all will be all set up with tables and hippies touting 'It Ain't Easy Being Green'. Anyone want to help throw them out on their butts and make a Blade Show 2009 Part II? :D

Good god almighty, this is insult to injury...if didnt know any better I'd say my company was doing this as a joke.
 
I actually hadn't heard of this event - I think I'll go, since I live in Atlanta :D :D :D


Think I should show up with an NMSFNO on my belt? How ya think the hippies will handle that?

the only thing that could make it worse is if you miss the ganza while at the Cobb :eek:

If you present it as a new 'energy conservation' utility I think it may be given 'Best of Show' I'm thinking a manual electrical conservation power switch. you chop a power cord and lessen the power required to operate said device :D
 
Wear a Battle Mistress on your hip.

Tell everyone you meet it's for chopping down trees.
 
That is horrible news. What a Murhpy's Law turn of events! If you do take a Battle Mistress with you, they'll probably tell you that "you can't have that in here!" Oh, the irony of it all.

I can promise you that the Ganza WILL NOT BE THAT WEEKEND...however I can not promise that a new blade will not be offered:p

However if you go by the fountain (across from the Waverly) you might still smell cigar smoke and the faint scent of Coor's light:D and stale scotch:thumbup:

man that is a real bummer....I was REALLY looking forward to meeting you at Blade:) and it really is not the same as a GoGreen thing..not that there is anything wrong with that

yea, crap like that always seems to happen to me, I'm used to it now...
nothing ever works out for me...
 
hey girl, you are so right,

i miss everyone real bad, already, why couldn't we have a knife show and call it the busse extravaganza or something and then everybody would not have to wait a whole year to see each other, it could be a reunion of sorts and have bunches of busse knives for sale and stuff, the stuff could be extraneous partying and cutting and chopping and testing and well you all get the idea. oh yea cigar smoking and the likes.

just thinking of fun stuff to do, waiting a whole year to do that again is jacked up, hey that is an idea.

the busse family reunion, all jacked up...
