Been thinking about picking up another knife and I will be stripping it so I don't really care which color it comes in so I was wondering, for you guys who have stripped a few knives do any colors seem to strip easier than others? Any colors that were extra tough that I should avoid?

The hardest for me to strip...Tanker Gray

The easiest for me to strip...Tanker Gray

huh??? what???

Let me explain, I stripped sage, black, green, & tanker gray blades...

I personally don't think it's that dependent on the color...I've had 2 Tanker Gray finishes that literally crinkled up & fell off after I applied the stripper & picked up the blade.

Another gray finish on a TGLB would only come off in spots with powerful stripper and I had to take a wire brush & 60 grit sandpaper to budge it...

So many variables need to be considered....could be:

1. Strength of different batches my stripper ( Jasco spray can )...although you'd think these would be fairly consistent from can to can.
2. Outdoor temperature?
3. Different recipes or lots of coating from Busse...again, you'd consider this to be consistent
4. Integrity of Decarb layer below topcoat....IMHO, I think this may be the cuprit, because the blades which the coating comes off easiest seem also the easiest to sand/polish off the decarb

So, from where I sit, I don't see a definite rhyme or reason in judging by color alone...but I have VERY limited stripping expericence...( 6 blades ).

I also look forward to answers to your question from more experienced members along with you, clampdaddy
