Im thinking about buying a condor hudson bay knife for camping/chopping/wood processing/etc....
Im looking at the condors because of the good price vrs quality.

Is there any other big knives on there in the same price range with similar quality?

Names, pictures, and links would be helpful.

Thank you.

That would depend on what you consider to be equivalent. There are some decent models by KA-BAR and Ontario that are about $10-20 more than Condor's hudson bay knife, but they perform quite well.

The ka-bar models are on my list of choices already. I like the condor style though. Old looking knife, wooden scales, leather sheath. very nice knife.
I just looked at the kershaw knife based on brad's recommendation. Still the condor HB is my top choice so far.

I have the condor HB knife and I love the old school design. I don't like the relatively soft steel they use.
Are there some similar old school hudson bay knives out there ?

I found an old picture of a great looking HB knife made by someone named Blade Smith Jeff White, but when i found his website, it seems to be empty or abandoned.

I love the old school HB style of the condor with the fantastic leather sheath, but what im really looking for is some sort of old school chopper. It doesnt need to be a HB, but i prefer that design.

I'm still looking and ill update this thread with any findings.
