There has been a rahter large sale of CRK over on britishblades with them arriving today. I'm one of teh lucky ones that's just got a small classic sebenza with wood inlay (I don't really like the plain ones). I really like the nicely round spine but wondered if anyne has a sebenza with file work done on the blade. I know one person on BB who has ground the spine square to use with a fero rod but haven't seen other mods.
Has anyone else done it? Do I dare ask one of teh custom makers back home to do it to mine?

I've seen it dne a time or two, though I don't know who does it.

For me file work would ruin the simple elegant lines of the knife. YMMV of course.

I agree with DaveH; I think the file work would ruin the simple elegant lines of the Sebbie.

As long as we're expressing personal opinions, I disagree with Andy L about plain Sebenzas. They are the heart and soul of the form - everything else is just an add-on.

They had those decorative backspacers a while ago, I don't know if they're even still available, but added a very elengent touch.

That might be good. (depending on what its like and cost)
I'm thinking of ways to make it a bit more personal. I'm not sure if the file work would please me anyway which is why I was wondering if others have done it (I know this sort of contradicts what I just said but hey)
As for the plain sebenzas it's not that I have anything against them as such, it's just they aren't for me in the same way I don't like large folding knives. (don't tell the spyderco fans but I really don't see why there is such a fuss over the manix)

Andy......,send a mail to Mr Matt Cucchiara.
He does some wicked Sebenza mod's with his signature "fizz"-treatment and heat-colouring and handle radiusing!!!
I have one on the way to me as I type this and can't wait to show it to y'all.
(if I can find a way to take pictures with a simple web-cam?!?)

I'm not as keen on the little bubbles of colour on the handle as the nice wood inlays

for the time being I'll just continue my hunt for a non leather belt pouch which doesn't feel cheap
