Any custom 4.5-5" folders with the Axis Lock?

I am not positive, but I think that the Axis lock is patient protected - way too expensive to use for a single custom knife.

Any such beast out there? :)
Nope. BM owns a patent on the AXIS lock and they make no such knife, and of course if they did it would be a production piece rather than a custom knife. Unless of course you consider their gold line to be custom but I wouldn't hold your breath for one of those coming out.

Correct. Unless Benchmade starts licensing it, you wont find the AXIS on a custom.

The Benchmade 940DM is pretty sweet though. I know where you can find one if you are interested.

I've seen pictures of customs by the McHenry / Williams duo on the Benchmade forums. I guess it's only fair for them (the inventors) to be able to use the Axis Lock freely. It's too bad (for me) that each of their pieces costs about what I'd charge for my living soul.

Yep, as knife saber pointed out, McHenry and Williams do seem to be able to use the axis lock. Makes sense, if I were them, when I sold the rights to Benchmade, I would have wanted a RF license to produce a certain number of custom knives with axis locks, as part of the deal. You might contact them and see if they'll make such a knife for you, although I think their stuff is very expensive these days.

I'm sure the axis and arc differ enough to keep SOG out of court, but they work the same.
