Anyone know of any custom knife makers in Northern Virginia?

I want to check out some local craftsman and have a Sebenza blade 'worked on'.

Thanks

Not sure what you are looking for as far as work and style, but John Richter lives in Chesapeake. He does very fine work and would be a good person to work with.

Sorry it took me so long to post to this.

Edmund Davidson is in the Shenandoah area.
And not sure if they're in the north but the Jones Brothers are in Va. too.

If you are into knives you should check out the Northern Virginia Knife Collectors. We meet the third Thursday of the month at 8pm in Falls Church. Email me if you want more info.

That's a real knife-nuts photopoint page, Ray. Pictures of family-0, pictures of friends-0, pictures of pets-0. Pictures of knives-20.

Very nice, too. I especially like 044 and 045. I've got a sister-in-law in Reston and a Mother-in-law in Leesburg. Next time we're up I'd like to give those a closer look.

PJ Tomes lives in Virgina, not sure if it's Northern but worth the look up, he makes some very fine knives!

Jack or anyone else reading this give me a call 703.264.1102 or a email when you are in the area "Bring some knives". I still have 044, but 045 is already gone. Both of those have the five point star pins.

The five point star pins where not easy to make. It took three tries and $400 of tooling for my Unimat to to get a acceptable five point star.

While I HIGHLY recommend the Jones brothers, they are in Danville, which is about as far south in VA as you can get. South central. Hmmm.... about a 3 hour drive from Richmond, if you take I-64 then rte. 29 south.

BTW, VERY nice work, Ray. I, too, like 044 and 045. 041, too. Nice!
