Well... quite a simple question really...

Is there anyone out here who is / knows a knife maker who will make me a custom knife per my wants from scratch?

Well....I could think of a couple hundred that are reading this right now. What are you looking to have made? I recommend someone to contact a little better if I know what you are looking for.

Usually knifemakers make what their customers want as long as it's within their abilities and that it's something that they are interested in making. You have to tell us what you want with specifics. Thanks.

WELL... I want something very specific, pretty much nonexistant (of what I have seen). I don't need nor can I buy it right now, but in a few months I will want to buy this from anyone able to make a blade like this.

I want a custom made folder that has:

4 inch blade
Wide clip point blade, rounded edge, straight false edge (like a bowie style blade, but a more straight and less rounded false edge... think CS voyager clip point or Emerson CQC8)
Mirror polish finish
40% serrated
Stainless steel, a steel that is stain/rust resistant and easy to sharpen
Completely ambidextrous (ambidextrous opening, closing, lock mechanism)
No locking liner system (looking for an AXIS or similar system, or if not a lockback will do)
Reversible high-placement pocket clip
(Not sure about the materials for the handle yet, I just don't like G10!) Black handle, ergonomic grip with no obtrusive curves to hinder grip, silvery stainless metal patterened into the black (handle pattern open for ideas! I just want it black and silver!)
Under 4 oz

Can anyone make something like that?

A 4-inch blade under 4 ounces? I'll be surprised to see what your budget comes in as.

Pardon me for saying so, especially if you are legit, but this post is rather TROLLISH. :)

Around $300-$400, that's negotiable, money can always change, quality cannot. And no I am legit, I'm a picky person by nature and I cannot find any knife like this (rightfully so) and want it custom made. If 4 oz cannot be done or cannot be done cheaply (why can't it be? I have an al mar 4 inch thats 2 oz and a CS voyager 4 inch that's 3.6) then that is also negotiable.

This is the crux of the problem. You are looking for a knife in the $700-$800 range, according to your specs.

Custom makers, unless desperate for cash, tend to shy away from extremely-picky clients.

Disclaimer: Please understand, I am not trying to be assholish in saying this; the general attitude here in ShopTalk is one of cooperation, nurturing, and congeniality towards all makers and enthusiasts.

Tha said: Its one thing to be a discerning and enthusiastic collector. Its entirely something different to be ultra picky and well... for lack of a better word... anal. By your own admission, I already can see a customer service nightmare looming on my horizon were I to take you on as a client. I've had clients that were so picky, I would never make another knife for them again. I'm sure a lot of my fellow makers in here will agree: Your business probably isnt worth it. Sorry man, but you should go to some shows and learn to develop some relationships with some knifemakers before you spring on them that you are super-picky. :)

Good point Higgy,I fear that aspect of the knifemaking world.Right now i ask do you want a bowie or a drop point utility :D I couldnt imagine the stuff i'd have to junk trying to do ultra custom work.

Seriously spud, nobody in this forum will tear you up for asking a question.Do as i tell my tattoo artist "Hey your the artist take my idea and make it work in your style"

Here's a suggestion...

Lurk around "Shop Talk" awhile, learn to and start making knives, work your skill level up to an acceptable degree, then never ever be COMPLETELY satisfied with your finished work like the rest of us.

(It is never "good enough". You will always be able to see each and every wart on every single knife you ever make.)
