any custom spinal sheath makers out there?

I have had the privellege of communicating with G2 and ordering a kydex beauty from Chiro, but I was wondering if any of you guys custom make spinal carry systems? say a 12 inch bladed bowie perhaps?

Somehow boladerigger is just too much for my budget

Sniper, bladerigger's stuff is the best.I know you said it is too expensive but if you are serious about carrying a blade that big the SB3 is the way to go.Call James up and talk to him,he is an excellent source of information on carry systems.

I would suggest getting Chiro75s help.
maybe call it DuraMater.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Hi "Dangergirl"...What kind of Bowie are you thinking of having it made for? I want one too, for a SOG Tigershark. Maybe we could get a better price on two. BE Well...~j~

Thanks guys. I am not that good (or tht gutsy) yet so i dunno if it is viable for me to spend that much on a bladerigger carry sytem cause it'll probaly be a 'toy' for me. And Sunshine

I am talking with Jerry Hossom about that bowie actually.

I might go ask Chiro then. Thanks =)

The best Kydex sheaths I've seen, including some made specifically for a Blade Rigger Spinal Carry System are made by Matt Draper in Austin. His forum name if Waxes Eloquent. Matt's Kydex looks and feels like leather, is meticulously fitted, in large knives are adjustable for retention, and are dirt cheap. All those are good enough reasons to make this dieheard leather lover switch to Kydex/Concealex. Matt only does this on the side so don't wear him out; I'll have a lot of knives for him to sheath soon.

His email is mdraper@mail.utexas.edu

Good luck,

Jerry

Thanks for the recomendations, guys, but when it gets into stuff that requires webbing and that type of stuff, I simply don't have the time or tools to do it. Belts, necks, pockets, etc I can do, but webbing and all that is beyond my scope of practice!

Try Normark. You'll have to send it to canada, but from what I've seen on Hood's Woods forum and here, he makes nice stuff.
