Mine is .22lr, varmint,

I know there is better rifles out there, but how much do you have to spend to get it?

It is not unusual, I`m not a great shot, to cover 5 shots with a quarter at 50yds, many claim dime size groups, I have done it, but not cosistantly.

I use wolf mt most of the time. Dynapoints shoot well also with some flyers.

This thing is a terror on tree rats

I have Meuller 3.5-10x 44 scope w/ red dot.

Haven't shot it yet, but I picked up a sweeeeet CZ 452 in 17 HMR last month. Came with a Harris bipod, sling, 21" Heavy barrel and Nikon Monarch 6.5 x 20 x 44mm Varmint scope. With that scope, you can count the hairs on a fleas butt at 100 yds! :)

Don't have one personally, sure would like to. From what I've seen its easily the most recommended bolt action .22 on the market. I couldn't find the deals that everyone talks about on them when I was in the market for a .22 though :grumpy:

I've got the 22 LR covered with my Remington 541T Heavy Barrel. 4x12 Burris compact scope on that one. Tree Rats shriek like little girls and run when they see me coming with that rifle!

I've got the CZ 452 Style . . . awesome gun!!!!!!!!!!!! I have owned most of the popular .22 rifles but like the CZ the best!!

Have any of you installed the Eric Brookes trigger kit?

Also, what brand ammo are you using?

I had one way back when they were first being imported and sold for about 90 dollars a piece. I had bought three of them and used them for accuracy and polishing projects. After a few glass bedding kits and mechanism polishing, I had them shooting about an inch at a hundred yards with notoriously inaccurate cheap stingers with an occasional flyer and about half an inch at a hundred yards with match ammo. I painted one of the stocks electric blue and another in a camo pattern. I had quite a chuckle when I had guys with 500 dollar rifles come to ask me what kind of rifle I had, just to hear that I was outshooting them with a 90 dollar cheapie.

My dad bought one of these in .22LR and I loved it so much I managed to convince the wife we should buy one. I've shot more accurate target rifles, used to shoot some .22LR competitions when I was a teenager, but they were all bull barrel tricked out guns with slings and big gloves and peep sights. The thing I love about the CZ 452 is that out of the box it's accurate and shootable. People who tell me they can't shoot pick it up and are hitting paper right away. The gun just works well. If you get a chance grab one :)

I bought one and having had several range trips with the CZ, I broke down and sold my 10/22 to pick up the Lux model. I have yet to find the Lux model locally. I having taken an interest in bolt action rifles as a result esp. CZ rifles ie the 550 FS. I suggest comparing the 452 to other bolt-action 22 LRs and you will see and feel a difference.

you will know how well you can shoot.
You won't have to be guessing if any miss is the gun or you. Not saying you ever miss, but if you do, it won't be the gun.
Seriously, CZ's feel like real rifles, and shoot better than most, for not a lot of money.
I also have the Brooks trigger kit. Easy to install and works great.
Try some Wolf match target for best accuracy. Also, any subsonic ammo is very quiet out of the CZ's long tube.
I'm very picky about guns, and this one is a pleasure to recommend.Get one. Patrick
