I made the mistake of dropping in my favorite candy store this afternoon, only to find a beautiful deep blue .44 Mag 6” Dan Wesson looking at me in the gun case. I asked if I could see it (fondle it) the counter man handed it to me and said it is a ported barrel model (Power Control) and it comes with an un-ported barrel also, oh, it also has the box, paperwork and tools!
I have three other Dan Wesson’s that I bought new in 1987 to 1990 when I shot Silhouette and this one as far as I can tell has never been shot! It is spotless. It’s a Monson, Mass. gun and the letter that came with it is dated April 1 1981 (April Fools day) the serial # 010777, I think I may go gambling tonight, it’s my lucky day!
The out the door price, after a little haggling and cash payment was almost exactly what I paid for my 7445 VH8 that I bought in 1990!
I have been looking for a nice .44 Mag for a very long time, this one made the wait worth it.

On with the pictures, they just don’t do it justice!

Love them Dan Wesson's! I fell in love with one back in the 90's. It came with several barrels in a sweet wood case. Shoulda Woulda Coulda bought it, didn't. :(

Oh ya, the pistol packs, I drooled over a cased .357 with a bunch of barrels. It was displayed at the Harmons grocery store in St.George in the early 80's newly married one daughter and another on the way. I sure wanted it but there was no way!

Damn man, that thing is a beaut

Awesome collection

Those slotted tube models sure bring back memories- I was involved in IHMSA competition way back in the day and the Dan Wesson was king until they started allowing FA revolvers to be used. I always wanted the DW in .357 or even .375 supermag but couldn't afford one.

They did rule the revolver class back then, in the last picture the second one is a .357 SuperMag and the forth one is a .445 SuperMag
Here is a picture of Elgin Gates giving me a trophy at the 1988 Internationals in Idaho, I won three trophy's that year. Those were the days!

Not a revolver fan, but I have contracted an affinity for Dan Wesson akin to INFI disease.

Presently haved three of their 1911-type semi-autos. CCO, RZ45 Heritage, and a Valor.

Dan Wesson makes a great firearm.

I have the same one in stainless. Best thing is you can change barrel lengths easily. I have a B square mount and a scope on mine.

That deep blue one is sweeeeet!! My birthday is coming up.......!!!!

I can remember shooting one in the short lived 357 Maximum cartridge years ago. It was a big handgun and very accurate.

The polished blue on the DW's is absolutely gorgeous! They rival colt in that respect. I wish gun manufacturers would spend the time/money to finish out their firearms that way today... but sadly, it seems as if it is a thing of the past.

Congrats on the nice revolver...
