Ok Boats, I will agree with that but the term gets so widely used to include law enforcement it's not worth quibbling about

Civilian sales, to us, are commercial sales to our dealer/distributor network. Everything else, including federal employees and military are non-civilian sales, no matter how wrong I may technically and literally be. I may also be incorrect in my English composition and punctuation in my posts.
Here's the deal though on shipments: We are doing our best to predict the market and haven't been able to at this point. Sometimes dealers and distributors wait until they're down to the their last few knives before they order. If (and it's happened) a large law enforcement or non-civilian military order hits the door about this time and uses up our stock, then everyone is put behind.
Another issue we have been fighting for the last couple of weeks is dealers that advertise our knives as being in stock when they're really not in stock. You won't believe at the emails RAT Cutlery has received wanting to know if the dealer was actually telling them the truth about when their knives will ship. We don't like getting put in the middle between the customer and dealer (distributor) and it's not in our interest to tell someone how to run their business, but I am saying that if someone waits until the last minute to order stock then there is a *potential* of having to wait on knives to ship.
The delays on the new product (Izula, RC-5, RC-6, etc.) is not because we're shipping to military or LEOs first. It's simply because we have been delayed in production due to other reasons - mainly because of Mike and myself changing things.
