Any differences in Tested XX knives

Hey folks,

Although I can't afford to own any of the near mint ones, I really love the Case Tested XX era knives. My question is: Was there any quality differences in the quality of the knives produced in that era with different scale materials ie. was a Rough Black knive just as good as a Green Bone or Stag scaled knife in all aspects but the scales?

Thanks,
Randy

In general they are about the same. The big difference is that much of the work was done by hand in the XX days. For the most part some my Cases in the tested and xx era easily rival some of the best knives I own.

I really enjoy finding those old guys that still have some work left in them (at a cheap price) and using them. After a little cleaning most end up being better knives than what I can find new today + they have a little extra character to them.

I have a bunch of old Barlows, but none can compare in style, and function like this sweet, old Case Tested 6205!

Cannot beat an old vintage Case this is a 6231 Greenbone used in the 2007 CCC Case calendar. Theron

Are there calendars still available?? I'm a CCC member, and never saw them:-(

They sent I think a post card at the time, You may go to the CCC Forums a Case website and PM Lisa.

Theron,

Beautiful trapper. I wish Case still rounded the edges like that now. My Queen/S&M #19s have that trimmer, rounded look and makes for a little more finese. I still EDC my newer Case Trappers, but yours is what they really wish they could be.

I like all of these old beauties,, but there is something that keeps drawing me back to waynorth's old Barlow photograph.. Man that knife has been left with some good honest character!. If anyone here has any luck obtaining that Case XX Calender, would you be so kind in letting me know where/what link/address to go please.
