Thanks for all the great suggestions to my Gent's Folder thread below. I appreciate the feedback and have lots to look into this morning. Here's one I came across last night at the AG Russell site. Any experiences with this one. It appears to be mfr'd by Benchmade and designed by AG Russell.

I have a similar knife to this one, same basic design but no scales and not an AG exclusive.

I like the knife but it didn't knock me over either, I personally think there are a lot of better choices for similar money.

I ended up adding full scales to mine and removing the clip, it makes a nice loose-in-pocket folder.

If you are really drawn to it then get one, it will be a good knife, but if there are other knives calling your name you may want to look closer at them.

The best thing you can do is buy the knife that really appeals to you the most, at this price the quality is going to be there and you're getting the knife that looks best to you.

I've never seen that knife before. I like the way it looks, and you can be sure there's good quality, coming from the benchmade factory.

I got one in trade a couple years back, and really enjoyed it. It was very slim, and unobtrusive, and the clip was very nice. It is a mirror image of the clip used on the Benchmade 690, which is an Elishewitz design. I loved the thin blade, and almost wharncliff style shape. If you can find one for under $80, I'd say it's the perfect knife. I do regret trading it off, but I got a cool knife in the bargain. I'd not hesitate to pick one up again, but not for the over-$100 asking price. I'd like to try replacing the scales with pearl, or something else nicer than G-10, though.

Overall: If you are going to pay retail, I'd suggest something else, but if you can get a deal, (less than $80) I say Go for it!
