Let me start by saying that I am not a big fan of damascus steel; gorgeous but with questionable functionality for cutting since it differs so much from maker to maker (I only have one tai chi damascus sword from Dragon Well forge (Longquan))
But I am a fan of all things kukri so I thought I'd ask around the people with experience. It seems that a google search comes up with a few (custom) versions of a damascus khuk, though I feel if the quality kukri makers had one I would know about it by now.
Anyone ever had a damascus kuk and actually dared to chop with it? My guess is they are only decorative; not that there's anything wrong with that; many things around us are mostly decorative (or did I hit too close to home?
