Hey guys, what do you make of this knife:

I bought it labeled as "Herbertz", but it seems the same knife is also sold as Xicar and some other names.

So far I've only used it for cutting cigars, and it does a fine job. But could it double as an office-use EDC?

What do you think?

Honestly you cannot do better than one of these little $30 buggers unless you spend 10 years in Havana learning how to cut cigars by hand or something.

I don't have one of those knives, but I would bet it would work as a great EDC. I use this to cut my sticks:

It came with a wallet:

My wife got it for me for Father's Day last year.

And I carry one of these most of the time:

I have a Xikar Extreme 188 with anodized titanium and G10 inlays. I really liked the knife but I stopped carrying it because the partial serrations drove me nuts. Apparently they're discontinued now, but you can still find them on the web with a variety of handle materials and inlays.

With Palios there is a lifetime warranty so if it dulls you can just go to an official dealer and they SHOULD replace it on the spot. Plus, it'll last thousands of cuts before it needs resharpening.

My buddy works in a cigar store and they sorta work if you rotate the cigar as you're cutting it
