I just bought one, I kinda got it on a whim. Is it any good? I wanted to try out VG-1. I plan on using it as a outdoor utility knife, food prep, open packages, maybe skin a grouse or something...

I don't own one, but have thought about picking one up quite a few times.
A friend bought one a few years back and he likes it. I got to play with it a little, and its a nice knife. IIRC his was an earlier version that is AUS-8, and it held up well. Seems like a good knife, especially for the price

Just bought one too. Pretty happy with it. Edge seems to hold up well. A bit smaller than I expected. But I should have done more research. The sheath is nice. But it doesn't hold the blade very snugly.

One of the first non junk knives i bought a long time ago...i have since parted ways with it, but its a pretty decent knife for the money

Sounds good, Does it have rubbery handles like the benchmade rant? or hard plastic? I was hopping it would be the rubbery kind. :D

Great little knife, the VG-1 takes a great edge and is easy to sharpen. Unfortunately, I never really used mine, so I traded it.

I loved it until it fell apart. Cool little knife though. Rubbery handles.

Fell apart? That doesn't sound good.... lol I am kinda confused on how a fixed blade with a injection molded handle would fall apart, its pretty much just 2 pieces... lol
