Any Experience with Premium Versions of QSP Penguin?

I bought a QSP Penguin in D2 during its first run on Massdrop. It was only $20 and a pretty good deal for the money. Since then, the knife has become quite popular. Now I see various premium versions popping up in better materials, including some nicely priced exclusives.

I haven't had the best of luck with QSP's QC but it hasn't been all bad. My Penguin is okay, and great relative to what I paid for it. The action feels a little clunky versus my thumb-stud knives from Kizer. I'm wondering if it is any better on the more recent premium versions.

I'd love to hear about your experiences with fancier versions of this knife.

154CM Ti framelock, this knife is smooth. Blade flies open, easy and smooth on unlock. Can middle finger flick with ease. However, detent really two strong, when doing initial disassembly and clean up lightened the detent just a hair. Liked it enough to order the Tradition Pocket Knives exclusive m390 g10 liner lock version. Should have in box this week, hoping the action is good. The frame locks are always a prob for me with finger placement messing up the action.

I don't have any premium QSP. Though, when you talk about the thumb stubs, I have the opposite experience. My QSP is very easy to open while my Kizer isn't as smooth even after tuning.
