Any experience with Rock River?

One of my buddies is in the market for a bare-bones AR. I don't own one myself but I looked into them a few years ago. Armalite and Colt are too pricey. Bushmaster? IIRC, I settled on RRA as the best buy. Anybody own one?

I'm on my 7th AR(not a lot by the definition of some). Ive owned two RRA's. You are right - the factory two stage is a great factory trigger. RRA's base gun is not what it used to be. The most noticeable change is the current base model does not have a chrome lined barrel. Big deal for me. That being said, RRA still makes a good gun with above average fit and finish. Look into Spikes or Stag for a good entry level gun. 10 years ago RRA made the best gun on the market in the under 1000.00 price range.
 
I love mine. I have an AK to and it is way cheaper to shoot the AK. 1/2 price
