Dennis,
I had the one you are talking about. This is the lightweight hunter. I was aprhensive at first, I wanted double liners or solid titanium, but when it arrived I was pleased. It is light, but handfilling. The Micarta is contoured and is thick at the pivot area to give strength. The single liner is thicker than most liners and gives excellent lockup. I guess this knife was close to the Spydie version in weight but more handfilling with the rounded scales. It is a great peice worth the money. I don't think you would regret buying it!
