Any experience with the CRKT Merlin Professional sheath?

I am hoping to find some input / opinions from those of you that have used the
CRKT "Merlin Professional" sheath for your tactical folding knives.

CRKT claims that this holster works with about 80% of the folding knives on the market (any brand).

I like the Rapid Deployment Sheath that Emerson sells and their knives that incorporate
the Wave feature (opinions on these would be welcome as well). I understand that this
is a very good set-up and am considering going this route. Their video is impressive.

What I am trying to understand is how does the Merlin holster function compared to the
Emerson Rapid Deployment Sheath with a Wave knife?
If the Merlin is a quick access and secure holster (like the Emerson RDS) then it would
expand my options for what type / brand of knife I could carry for quick access EDC.

I will use this knife / holster for concealed EDC as a back-up to my concealed handgun.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I bought one for grins....I should have known better since they don't make particularly good sheaths for their regular knives.

My biggest gripe with it is that I don't think it holds the knife securely enough....it's a friction fit. It's an overly complicated device for what it is....you'd be better off getting some type of kydex sheath

Thanks for the help Edison. The CRKT pictures on their website didn't make it clear how the sheath operated and I suspected it wasn't going to be as good as Emerson's sheath.

Cheers!
