I really like the look of this knife, I think it is the best looking mcusta...especially the one with the ebony scales. This is the one I am getting. If anyone could give me any input on the F&F and design of the knife it would be much obliged. Thanks.

I have Mcusta knives. You will not be disappointed. Fine craftsmanship and great materials. And Japaneseknifedirect has the best service you can find anywhere.

Regards

Great! Ordered one off of SavsonSwordsandKnives.com

I will post pictures when i get it! I hope it turns out well!

I ordered a Seki-Cut Bob Lum in D2 and love it. I have a Browning Ice Storm made by Mcusta and it is very nice but I think the knives that carry the Mcusta name are a little higher quality in F&F than the ones they made for Browning. Yours should be sweet!

Wow, small world. I just commented on my Mcusta in the thread about the sharpest knife you own a few seconds ago. My Yoroi shares the same blade as the Kasumi. It is EXTREMELY sharp, and the quality of construction, materials, fit, and finish, are excellent.

Good to hear!

That VG-10 is wonderful isn't it?

Savson's is one of the best on the net. Randy will make sure you are satisfied and his prices are either the lowest or among the lowest you can find. Good choice.

I've got a Mcusta bamboo some time ago and It's the sharper knife out of the box I've tried.

The damascus blade is really beatiful and It will hold and edge pretty well. I case I need it to get it sharp again It's really easy with the Sharpmaker.

The liner lock is good, not too thick but it will keep the blade in place for sure, it opens SMOOTH and the wood in the handle is high quality.

Cons: The lack of pocket clip.

You wont be disappointed :)

Knife looks very nice. I am thinking about Mcusta for a while already. Can you guys tell me how long is blade on Kasumi? It is said knife is 3.5" closed, so blade somewhere 2.5-2.75"?

2.5 inch. A small "gentleman's folder".

I have four McCustas. They are all top shelf knives with excellent F&F. I cannot recall seeing the model pictured above in the first post. What a little beauty!

I absolutely love the way they heat-blued the pivot pin and thumbstud, too.
It's just a little extra touch that really adds to the overall aesthetic appeal of the knife. I love these knives!

I really wish they'd make a model with a 3 3/4" or 4" blade.

What bladeprince said. I have a Mcusta folder as well (damascus/quince wood). It's a very nice folder.

I've played with a few in the store and I was very impressed. I would definitely buy a Take if it had a pocket clip. Actually, I've been much more impressed with Mcustas visually than with some other super popular high F&F knives, like the Sebenza. They were both flawless, but the Mcusta is so much more complex and it gives them room to show off. Flat titanium slabs don't really offer that.

I am disappointed with SavsonSwordsandKnives.com I ordered on Sunday and it is now Thursday and I haven't yet received it. I ordered through USPS Priority and I am only 15 minutes away from where savson is located.

I will probably not be buying from here again.

Lets hope it didn't get stolen or lost or anything. That would be embarrassing for USPS figuring I'm only 15 minutes away.

Well...It is Friday now and the knife still isn't here...I just checked the site today and it seems to be updated with the words: "shipped", so I should be receiving it tomorrow.

I will update again tomorrow.
