any experience with these knives?

iam new here.
i just got a timberline discovery/serrated and a gerber yari.
any one have any experiance with these or know anything about them.

i am worried about the lock in the discovery, how strong is it. it came very dull even the serrations. other than that it seams real nice

the yari is amazingly sharp new and i think it will be an amazing knife. it will be put to good use during spring canoe trips

any info would be nice, thanks

I carried a Discovery for several months. for the money, it was an OK knife, but it always "rubbed" against the liner. I also had to sharpen it daily. I never had any problems with the locking mechanism and i really used mine hard. For a $50.00 dollar knife, the Discovery will serve you well. Of course there are quite a few in this price range that do just as well.
