Recommendation? Any Feedback on Buck / Tops Short Nighthawk?

Hi all,

I figured I'd reach out to the forum members here in BF for some feedback, whether good or bad, on the Buck/Tops collab and their short Nighthawk. I've dealt with Tops knives before but this will be my first Buck fixed blade. Looking for a slightly larger replacement for my Ontario Rat 3 in my pack and happen to come across the Short Nighthawk for a really good deal. Any feedback on it would be greatly appreciated. I'd basically be using it for hiking/camping and keeping it on me whenever hunting season comes around here in GA. Thanks in advance!

Great knife. I have the large version and my son has the shorter one.

Not sure what the difference is between the original versions and the latest with the holes in the blades but I collect and am quite pleased with the original ones. I've thought about picking up one of the newer models but the holes just don't trip my trigger.
