Nice little piece. AUS-8, but then it's what, $50 at full MSRP?
It's light, very light. Mine came sharp as hell, probably the sharpest BM I ever took out of the box. It's a skeleton knife, but you knew that. The sheath is OK for the money - it retains it firmly when inverted, and looks like it would take a TekLok (I haven't tried) in at least one direction. It doesn't come with a clip of any kind, just a set of two neck lanyards that can be combined for armpit or other large loop wear.
Penetration is EXCELLENT, and yet the tip is not a fragile needle - it reminds me of the way a good flat grind man can do a dagger point with a slight twist - it's like a tiny flat chisel end. The edge has a VERY slight belly, just enough to keep it from being dead flat. It's subtle enough that it may just be the grind on mine, rather than the blanking. The inside bevels of the skeleton holes are polished, which gives a nice visual accent against the full black coating. The spine has a short grooved section for your thumb. "Properly" chisel ground for a right hander.
I'd rate it very good as a holdout / concealed SD piece. It's OK as a utility blade, mainly because of the skeleton handle - a good cord wrapping might bump that assessment up. Compared to my Ronin, the Spyderco is a much nicer, much better utility user, but the Benchmade could pretty much replace it as a boot/neck knife, at something less than a third the cost. It feels fine in my medium large hand, or at least fine for a flat one piece knife from 1/8" stock.
If you like the design, and AUS-8 at that price sounds like a good deal to you, then I think you'll be happy with it. I think mine was a hair over $30 from New Graham. If you want something similar you can do hard work with, look at the Ronin on the splinter picking scalpel end or the BM Juju for the big, overbuilt (1/4") chisel ground version.
