Any first hand thoughts on the Benchmade 1150/1155?

I was looking at the BM 1150 & 1155 pens online and curious if anyone here could offer some impressions of carrying and using it. Particularly, I'm interested in how the grip is when writing. The body doesn't taper gradually from larger diameter to smaller at the writing end, it's a hard cut, so is there enough area on the thin part to give a good grip?

I am interested in a BM pen, but they really look too much like a kubaton - you could never pass that off as just a pen if you needed to...
