Looking for suggestion/opinions on benchmade folders or fixed blades in this price range.
Except for the Griptilian & Mini-Grip.I have them both.
I usually only buy blue box.How are the red & black series?

Preferably Not 440C & no linerlocks

Thanks for your input,

EDIT: The mini Dejavoo is an great choice!

But Its a liner lock, so maybe a manual Mel Pardue.

BTW, the Blue Box is so you can tighten the bolts.

Blue Series, Black Series, Gold Series and the Red series which are made in a foreign country.

Somebody recently corrected me on that. The Red series used to mean it was made off-shore. Here is the current definition from Benchmade:
RED CLASS - Edged tools with the same Benchmade signature innovation and performance driven mindset, geared for the casual knife buyer. It’s a commitment to be the “best in class” value, and initiate an entirely new group of knife users to the Benchmade performance difference. (Some product offerings in the Red Class are produced in our off-shores facility and our Oregon City facilty)
For instance, the new Rant is still Red class, even though it is made in the US.

the black class is the HARD USE category geared more for military and law enforcement. check out the hk series of knives they are the best u will find form benchmade and at a great price.

I have a freind who just started Gathering knives and has a thing for BM's. He just got a Vex and the Ally and likes them both. I have not had the chance to see them. But he thinks they are great for around $30.00 each...

My Blackwater Recurve 16707BT was $77.50 from New Graham. Axis Lock, great blade shape, G10 scales, full steel liners..

The 530 is also within the stated price range.

Regarding fixed blades, the 10502 Rant is a little below the stated price range, but it is a great knife.

All Great Suggestions Thanks Guys:thumbup:

army4ever +1 on the H&K...I have a 14205 & love it:)

I have a Vex (EDIT- VEX, NOT RANT) and like it, except that the pocket clip screws keep working themselves loose. Time to get som Loc-Tite.
The Ambush (Grip copy it seems) Mini-Ambush (Mini-Grip copy) and Pika are both in you range w/no liner locks. The Vex is a great knife but has a liner lock.

The 530 should just be over your price range.

Blackwater & the 530 are good suggestions,but they both have under 3" blades.I don't like getting any knife with under a 3" blade,unless it's a gent folder.

Thanks guys,
