Any good ground pad suggestions?

This might be an odd request for helpful suggestions, but...
I'm looking for some kind of pad that I can sit on outdoors in an urban environment and not freeze my butt off.

I take my daughter to dance class in the evening and frequently wait for her outside the dance studio. It will likely get below freezing this winter, and if I sit on the concrete steps I will probably be quite uncomfortable.

I could go in the studio and wait, but it's very loud and there are obnoxious little kids to deal with. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Oh, and if possible, I'm hoping to keep this cheap and easily carried.

I don't know if the thermarest would hold up to lots of use on concrete, but the z-seat would also be a good choice. Even just a cut chunk of 10mm CCF would work, and it gets lost or mangled, you are not out much.

I'd cut an old rubber/foam gym floor tile into a roundish shape. If I feel fancy I'd add an oval hole for carrying it.

I have this generic promo folding sit mat that has soft velour type on surface to sit on and aluminum side for the cold side. Folds in tiny space and is really good for sitting around cold forest etc. I'm afraid that doesn't help much though, but an idea.

Look at hunters' seat pads at box stores. Or as suggested, cut a butt-sized piece of closed cell foam from a camping pad, the blue foam roll usually found at the local discount store. One pad will make three or four seats and cost $5+. I carried one for years while hunting and keep one strapped to my canoe seats.

Blanket folded over a few times!! Or just sit in your car/truck... John

My work uses these for CPR training and we have them in all our medical bags.

They are the perfect size to sit or kneel on and probably provide a little bit of protection from the cold ground. Just google CPR knee pad or gardening pad about a hundred different companies make them.
