So I bought a Small 21 Damascus Blade with Carbon Fiber Inlay Sebenza a few years back Blade but sadly I've never been impressed with how she cuts. Even after trying to use strop and compound and then investing in a sharp-maker, I've only managed to get her marginally sharper; never hair popping sharp. I'm a pretty decent sharpener and can get all my other blades (regardless of material) to hair popping, newspaper cutting sharpness but there's something with this Sebenza that is making it a nightmare. I truly want to fall in love with it again (she is my most expensive and beautiful knife). Before sending it back to Chris Reeves (which could potentially takes months), is there a reputable and skilled sharpener in Canada that can help me? I suspect the shoulder is simple too large and will likely need some profile work which I'm not comfortable with doing it myself.
