Knifes they say can be found at Paragon. The MET ? That's paradise !!!Why bother with a knife store when you can spend days at the Met for A&A or many other things.ENJOY !

Isn't that shop "Mastersmiths" or something like that there? Heck, I dunno, too cold for muggers isn't it :p

Just hang around Central Park until about 9 or 10PM. Wear a funny "I LOVE NY" hat. Some guys will come up to you and show you their knives. Take out your wallet and ask how much they want for the knives.

+1 on Mastersmiths. I had the chance to pop in there in September and they have a good range of blades with some very very nice customs.

Here's the address:
403 East 58th Street, NY NY 10022
(located between Sutton Place and 1st Avenue)

There is 3 little Indians custom knives at 192 Grand st in Manhatten. Great Italian food downstairs and cigars and a awesome custom selection of knives upstairs.

+1 on the Met... I was there in '06... hard to get away from the arms and armor. Apparently, flash photography will turn the building and all the displays into dust, so I didn't get as many good pics as I wanted, but the experience was amazing.

You cannot miss Paragon Sporting Goods in Union Square. They have a nice selection of productions and customs. A little pricy but the staff know better than to make stupid claims.
