I'm looking for a good, heavy-duty watch-strap for my Seiko Quartz Dive Watch, and I want it to be a "one-piece" strap, made out of cordura/balistic nylon or Kevlar, and closes via velcro, rather than a buckle. (I know about the Timex "Fast Strap", but I'm looking for something "better" [that doesn't say "Timex" on it], but along the same design.).

Any ideas or links? (Does anyone have the link to that strap made for the Luminox watches?...I had one awhile ago, but can't remember where I ordered it from...).

How 'bout this one?

Can be seen at http://www.broadarrow.net/ under accessories.

I'm out of stock on the Luminox nylon bands, but believe that U.S. Cavalry was selling them.

Dennis,

If I recall correctly, the band that you have pictured has a buckle. I'm looking for one with velcro.

I couldn't locate one of those Luminox nylon bands at US Cavalry.:(.

I think I bought mine at Cabellas, but couldn't find it there either.:(.

I have one on a Swiss Army watch (don't remember the name), but it is exactly what you want. No buckles, just nylon and velcro. I love it:)

I have used several of "The Band" nylon bands and they are great. Can't find a website for it though. Keep finding site s for the musical group "The Band"

I've had a couple also....very good!!

I also can't find the darn site :(...sorry!

I like Shark Leash. Coming out from one side of the watch is a nylon strap with "female" velcro on both faces on the strap. Coming out of the other side is a V shaped strap with "male" velcro along the inside of the V. You velcro the V shaped strap over both the top and bottom of the other strap. It holds very securely, and yet is much less bulky than The Band. I found mine at a surf shop.

Thanks for all the good info, guys. I'll guess that since I live pretty close to the ocean, I'll have to check-out a couple of the nearby surf-shops.:).

Dann,
I think the surf shop angle will work out for you. If not, let me know as we have a couple close by here that have carried these in the past and very likely still do.
